Divorce takes away your marriage but not your brain. You will have to make hard decisions for years following the divorce, and they are yours alone. Agree on how long you will take to make decisions and who will consult or mediate/arbitrate if you and your ex are in conflict. Having a third party named in advance to be the voice of reason can provide a quick solution to replace days of bitter arguing.
