How can you take a trip with your children if you see them only on weekends?
Your parenting schedule ought to resemble what married people would do, even though you’re divorced. Always giving one parent only small blocks of time is harmful to the children. It’s very common for parents to give each other one to four weeks (not always in such large chunks) of time throughout the year to take vacations (or even the new “stay-cations” in your home city) when you can just have some uninterrupted time with the children and the other parent’s parenting time will not apply during those temporary periods.
