What can you put into your agreement if you are concerned about your children’s addictions?
A child’s life should not mirror his parents’ feelings, neither letting the parents turn a blind eye to warning signs nor being a weapon to validate a paranoid or vindictive parent. Since it’s highly likely that the parents’ behavior directly or indirectly influenced the addiction, both parents must be on the same page about what constitutes an addiction and how it will be treated. The fairest way to pay is in proportion to income.
