Post-divorce life, part 2

Set aside at least 48 solid hours once a month for “alone time.” You’re not superman, and you’re a better parent if you take care of your needs as a human. Parents tend to hoard their parenting time. It’s not a competition. It’s about giving your kids the best possible upbringing. Provide in your divorce agreement when each parent will get the “alone time.” It’s also a red flag if one or both parents don’t want the alone time because it suggests that they are overly attached to the children.
