Can my spouse let my kids travel alone against my will?
Even divorced people have to follow the law, but there’s nothing to prevent them from sending the kids on a plane trip alone, if they law allows it. Be careful, though, about how you make the maturity argument to your children. When there’s a disagreement, the parent who thinks the kids are old enough to fly by themselves is the one who wants to send them on a trip. The parent who doesn’t want them to go, often for a selfish or petty reason, suddenly claims they are too young. Agree on an age and put it in your divorce agreement, specifying the ages at which the kids will be able to take a plane trip alone, with siblings, and with an airline escort.
