Does infidelity impact child custody?

I wish it always did. You need to show that one parent’s behavior makes them unfit or threatens the well-being of the child. In my opinion, cheating on your kids’ other parent satisfies both of those tests. There is no higher responsibility than to teach your kids how to be spouses and parents, and someone who fails so deliberately at honoring that vow is in a poor position to advise the younger generation However, infidelity actually matters only if it impacts the best interests of the child.
