ADD and ADHD, Part 2

Does an IEP or 504 plan help? At the very least, it brings greater attention to the kids’ heightened needs. Make sure the conditions enable the kids to succeed, not to slack, and certainly not to be stigmatized. Be sure that your 504 plan or at least a reference to it, is in your divorce agreement so that its conditions can be binding on each of you and you will have consistency. Also, specify in your divorce agreement what each of your roles will be at the school or with the teachers to help your child thrive.
