Dealing with an angry spouse, part 1
Remember that both parents are equal in your kids’ (and the law’s) eyes. Every child deserves to live in a stable and calm home. While anyone would object to someone who was addicted to drugs while pregnant, parents sometimes forget that being addicted to anger is also something to be vigilant about. How you model for them is vital. When you condone anger, even implicitly, you give your children permission to perpetuate it. If you have joint custody, you have all the same rights. If you have visitation because the other parent has sole custody, you will generally have the right to inspect records and come to all relevant events of the children.
